When it comes to working on set with me, I can adapt to many diverse roles. I am obsessed with this industry and am very eager to learn as much as humanly possible with filmmaking and photography.

Director of Photography (DP)- The DP plays a key role in storytelling. They are the person who helps bring the director’s and client’s vision to life through the camera. They work with other departments, (lighting, sound, grip, etc.), to build the scene. The DP is distinctly collaborative throughout the whole filmmaking process.
Camera Operator (Cam Op) - A Camera Operator is exactly what it sounds like. They are the ones operating the camera or operating the second (B) camera. The DP does operate a camera but in some productions, the DP wants to focus more on the image and will want a Camera Operator to do the camera movements.
Drone Operator - To fly drones for production, you need to have your Drone License which is also known as a Part 107. I have had my Part 107 since 2020 and have been flying ever since. The drone operator is the one controlling the movements of the drone and sometimes the camera of the drone as well.
Digital Imaging Technician (DIT) - The DIT is part of the camera department. After a memory card fills up in the camera, the DIT securely offloads the footage to the hard drives. They make sure everything is transferred and organize all of the files to the production standards. They also produce the dailies for the production, which are the raw images and sounds synced together from that production day.
Sound Mixer/Boom Operator - The sound mixer is in charge of capturing high-quality audio during production. They are in charge of placing mics on the talent and placing additional mics around the room, (like a boom mic). For some productions, you need to mic the talent along with having a boom mic overhead. The Boom Operator is the person who holds the overhead boom mic to capture audio more dynamically. These can be the same person but sometimes 2 different people
